About Briana
I’m a proud Mexican-American and third-generation boxer from California, now based in New York City. Boxing isn’t just a sport in my family—it’s a legacy. My grandfather, Rudy Garcia, was the 1960s featherweight champion with a remarkable record of 35 wins, 13 draws, and only 1 loss. He passed down his knowledge to my father, who taught my brother and me. Today, I carry on that tradition by helping others discover the power of boxing.
With over 12 years of training experience and 5 years of coaching, I’ve worked with athletes and beginners alike at Capo Boxing Gym in California, Chelsea Piers Fitness, and La Familia Boxing in New York City. For me, boxing is more than workouts—it’s discipline, confidence, and an incredible community.

Beyond the Ring
I am a sustainability professional with over eight years of experience working work with cities, nonprofits, and private sector organizations to bring in emerging technology solutions that improve quality of life and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Climate change is one of the biggest fights of our time, and I’m proud to play even a small role in helping create a better future.
In my personal time, I love trying new recipes with friends and pretending we’re auditioning for Chef’s Table—because who wouldn’t want to take a bite out of those dishes?
Boxing, though, will always be my anchor. It connects me to my family, my community, and my roots. It keeps me learning, growing, and pushing myself every day. And yes—it’s also how I’m working to pay off my student loans.
If you’re ready to train, learn, and grow with me—while helping me #PunchOutStudentDebt—reach out today. Let’s get to work.
